01Before you call us: - Check your roof to see if you have a north facing area without shading from trees and buildings.
- Check your daily electricity usage on your power bill specified in kilowatt hours (kWh’s)
02Call Sun Empire Solar Systems on 1300 417 154: - To talk about your specific site requirements.
- Arrange a site visit.
- Receive quotation.
03Upon your approval of the quotation: You need to: - Sign and return the letter of acceptance.
- Pay 20% of system price as deposit.
Once we receive the above from you, we will: - Lock in your STCs with the REC-Registry which will ensure you get the rebate on the system.
- Organise your system equipment.
- Arrange an installation date with you.
- Apply to you electricity distributor on your behalf for permission to connect to a "grid-connected solar system" to their network
04Upon completion of installation we will: - Invoice you for the remainder of the system to be paid within 7 days of installation.
- Organise an independent, qualified electrical inspector to assess and pass all our works.
- Organise the Certificate of Electical Safety to be sent to you along with your system manual.
- Arrange for your electricity meter to be changed to an import/export meter so you can export to the grid any excess electicity generated by your system. Please note: costs for meter changeover are NOT included in Sun Empire's quoted price and are paid directly by you to your electricity retailer - meter changeover costs are approx $250.
